Anyma announces debut album, delivers long-awaited ID with Grimes, Welcome To The Opera

A day where many wondered if it would ever come. But “Welcome To The Opera” has finally been set free from Dancing Astronaut‘s most-anticipated IDs of 2023 list. Expectedly arriving via Dancing Astronaut‘s 2022 Label of the Year, Afterlife, Anyma and Grimes‘ crossover hadn’t just remained one of our favorite IDs, but just about everyone’s this past year. And the most surprising part of it all isn’t the release itself, but rather the fact it officially marks the first single from the Afterlife co-founder’s long-awaited debut album.
“Welcome To The Opera” was born exactly a year ago when Grimes welcomed it during EDC Las Vegas‘s 2022 edition. A release that had been more than a year in the making, “Welcome To The Opera” makes a case to be some of Anyma’s most satisfying work to date, bringing in Grimes’ futuristic, emotional tone and matching it with a cinematic sonic experience. And once again, Alessio DeVecchi‘s visual artwork compliments the forward-thinking record, continuing to exemplify the consolidation between AI and the physical world. While we now wait for Anyma’s albumwhich is tentatively scheduled for the latter half of 2023stream “Welcome To The Opera” below.
Another one of our top IDs of the year
