Chicago Music Nexus Brings Industry Insight with Debut Summit

The highly anticipated Chicago Music Nexus is set to launch on November 23 at Loft Lucia, offering a one-day summit designed to empower emerging artists and music professionals with essential industry knowledge and connections. 
Founded by Forbes-acclaimed DJ, producer, and A&R Sherm, alongside industry consultant Olivia Mancuso, Chicago Music Nexus arrives with a mission to bridge knowledge gaps in today’s challenging music industry, where the majority of artists struggle to make revenue.

Bringing together an impressive lineup of thought leaders, the summit will feature Grammy Trustee Dani Deahl, Chicago house legend DJ Lady D, and iconic producer Terry Hunter, among others.

Danner (US) joins the Spotlight Mix

This week, we’re thrilled to feature Asbury Park’s rising talent Danner (US) in our Spotlight Mix series on Data Transmission. Known for his electrifying blend of house and tech, Danner has rapidly risen through the ranks since his debut on Toolroom in 2021. 
With additional releases on Coco, Issues, Rawthentic, and his recent Beatport chart-topping ‘Such A Feeling’ on NYC’s Jack City Records, he’s firmly positioned himself as one to watch in the scene. His tracks have already received major support from names like Prok | Fitch, Solardo, Detlef, Nathan Barato, Carlo Lio, and James Hype.
In addition to music, Danner brings a multifaceted approach to life—he’s an avid surfer, a dedicated Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner, and an active member of a cancer charity board. HARJI & Jordi Iven kick off new label Keep The Party Moving Records

Brooklyn-based electronic scene staple Keep The Party Moving (KTPM) is expanding its groove with the launch of Keep The Party Moving Records, a new label that mirrors the club’s infectious energy and devotion to underground sounds. KTPM Records’ first release, ‘No Good For Me,’ comes from HARJI and Jordi Iven, two artists who have carved their names into the NYC scene with unique, high-energy sounds.
HARJI, a New Delhi-born, Brooklyn-based producer known for blending Latin, Punjabi, house, and techno influences, leads the charge with a track that is as rhythmically complex as it is infectious.

Joining him is Jordi Iven, a Dutch-born DJ now deeply embedded in New York’s electronic music scene. Known for his versatile track selection and the ability to read and ignite any crowd, Jordi brings a refined touch to the project.
‘No Good For Me’ is a vibrant house cut, complete with punchy vocals, an infectious piano melody, and a bassline brimming with disco flair. The track embodies the essence of KTPM’s club vibe, uniting genres and creating an atmosphere that’s sure to move dance floors.
