Destructo and Snoop Dogg Unite for G-House Heater, “You Only Die Once”
Written by rhythm86 on April 20, 2023
Bass house beats and buttery bars collide to create a glossy G-house anthem.
Destructo has long been a leading figure in the electronic music space, spearheading the HARD Events brand and pushing the G-house movement through trendsetting collaborations with YG, Ty Dolla $ign and Kevin Gates, among others.
Now, he’s back for more with hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg.
“You Only Die Once” is the result of many years of Destructo and Snoop trying to collaborate, according to a press release. Layering bass-infused house rhythms with Snoop Dogg’s fiery yet silky-smooth bars, the new track is a melting pot of gritty G-house sounds and glossy hip-hop.
“You Only Die Once” has been a long time coming. Snoop performed his full Doggystyle album to close out 2017’s HARD Summer festival, which was founded by Destructo.
“What a dream come true to finally have a G-house record with the one and only Snoop Dogg,” Destructo said in a statement. “I’ve been a fan since ‘Deep Cover,’ his debut collaboration with Dr. Dre in 1992.”

Destructo is currently on tour with upcoming dates at Summer of Sound and Shambhala Music Festival, among others. In February 2023, he released his scintillating Future Funk EP, which was inspired by the nightclub scene of the ’80s.
Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg just released a limited edition, 4/20-themed Doggystyle vinyl box set. He also recently announced a partnership with Death Row Records and Happy Dad Hard Seltzers to collaborate on a new flavor and merch.
