Written by on July 14, 2023

edapollo, the UK native and Melbourne-based producer whose real name is Ed Bidgood, has been making waves in the electronic music scene with his visionary soundscapes and captivating compositions. With two independently self-released albums, Endless Cascades in 2019 and Blue Spring in 2021, edapollo has garnered widespread critical acclaim from blogs, tastemakers, and radio stations worldwide. With support from esteemed platforms like BBC Radio, Sirius XM, Worldwide FM, and Triple J, it’s allowed him to reach new audiences and accumulate over 50 million streams across various platforms. And now he’s ready to take his fans on the next transformative experience with his dreamy Technicolor Places album out now via Foreign Family Collective.

Consisting of 10 captivating tracks, the album showcases standout singles such as ‘You’re Everything’ which is a great deep house track built around an amazingly soulful heartfelt sample. ‘Only You,’ which seamlessly blends atmospheric downtempo, electronica, and house music. Another notable track is ‘Opalescent’, a joyous and emotive composition characterized by atmospheric synths, intricate percussion, and dreamy vocal samples. ‘Find Love’ takes listeners on a journey with its beautiful instrumentation, complemented by a poignant breakbeat and uplifting vocals. The remaining songs on the album are equally compelling, and are must listens for the summery months ahead.

Ed had the following to say about the new album:

“Last year I had some big life changes and decisions to make. During this time everything became confusing & draining, I felt like I started seeing life through a black-and-white lens, so the concept behind this record was to use music as a way of bringing back color and positive energy to life. It was inspired by friends, family, places, and experiences, becoming almost like an audio diary of the last couple of years, sound tracking my thoughts and feelings at particular moments, as I navigated through a transitional phase in life. I did a lot of moving around during this time, so the album was written between Devon (UK), Berlin (GER) & Melbourne (AUS) and each track transports me back to those places, absorbing the energy and hues of those places. I’m very happy to share the full album with the world and I hope it can take the listener to the vibrant places I went to while creating it.”
