FISHER returns to Montréal for sold-out OfF Piknic debut
Written by rhythm86 on July 7, 2023
Nearly a year after his last performance in Montréal, FISHER makes his return for a sold-out show at the city’s darling event series, OfF Piknic. On July 8, the Australian producer will take the stage for a two-hour set at Parc Jean Drapeau, closing out the day-to-night Catch & Release party. Though the event grounds boasts an approximate 10,000-person capacity, the event sold out over a month in advance, leaving Montréalers in a frenzy for this coveted edition.
Kicking off at 4:00 pm local time, Airrica takes the decks on warm-up duties, followed by two funk-house sets from Dublin-duo Obskür, and house music’s favorite siblings, Shermanology.
OfF Piknic acts as a branch of the original Piknic Électronik events, known for their weekly Sunday summer parties on the Parc Jean Drapeau island. While Piknic’s curation tends to shine light on local talent, OfF Piknic welcomes international names for the open-air events, including upcoming performances from Camelphat, Peggy Gou, and Bonobo.
