Karan Aujla Enlists Tiësto for Dancefloor-Ready Remix of Hit Single, “Softly”

Written by on December 20, 2023

In a huge crossover, Punjabi singer-songwriter Karan Aujla has joined forces with Tiësto to unleash a dancefloor-ready remix of his chart-topping single, “Softly.”

Premiering at Etihad Park in front of 20,000 raging fans during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix’s first after-race concert, the remix is as explosive as it is infectious. In classic Tiësto fashion, the Dutch dance music icon brings his signature energetic touch to “Softly,” packaging it for the world’s clubs and festival stages.

Born and raised in Ghurala, a village in Northern Punjab, India, Aujla has emerged as one of the region’s most prolific Punjabi artists. His debut album B.T.F.U. was released back in 2021 to international acclaim and he has amassed over a billion digital streams since.

“Softly” stands out as the lead single from Aujla’s sophomore album, Making Memories. The track has become a global sensation, surpassing 250 million streams and accumulating over 20 billion views across social platforms in the process. Driven by intoxicating basslines and replete with irresistible production, Tiësto’s remix channels the original’s traditional Punjabi flair to bring a new energy.

“It’s an honor to have Tiësto remix ‘Softly’ and do what he does best,” Aujla said. “I hope my fans continue to make memories with this one and enjoy the single in a whole new way.”
