Reboot unveils new album, ‘On A Grind’

Reboot, aka Frankfurt producer Frank Heinrich, has launched a new album, On A Grind, on new LP-based imprint Occult Vision.
Occult Vision’s goal is to ‘create windows into the deeper, alternative and often more authentic sounds of carefully selected artists’, and as such the new album is suitably introspective, featuring tracks that were crafted during the pandemic.
That lockdown period had a ‘resounding impact’ on Reboot’s studio work, according to a press release for the new album, with the tracks described as ‘often melancholic, yet hopeful, with carefully placed textures and rhythms carrying a stripped back yet emotive energy throughout. This isn’t your typical club music; it’s more personal and meant as a listening experience’.
The new album follows on from a number of releases last year, including a collaborative project with David Gtronic, Heads Above Water, the Red House EP (on Cecille Records), the Villa Del Sol EP with Tuccillo (on Cadenza Records), and performances at a variety of clubs and festivals around the world.
Hailing from Frankfurt, Reboot was influenced by Sven Väth’s Omen club as a young producer, developing a style that blends Latin, dub, reggae, world music, jazz, funk, and R&B, creating a mix of club-oriented house and minimal sounds, often built on complex polyrhythms.
Reboot – On A Grind is out now and can be downloaded/streamed here.
