French techno producer Space 92 has announced the launch of a new record label, entitled TAKEOFF.
The first release on the label, the Offbeat EP, is set to land on Beatport and Spotify on 21 February, with a wider release on streaming platforms on 7 March.
The label is being touted as a platform for forward-thinking sounds, and for both emerging and established artists alike.
“Seeing Offbeat on my own label as its very first release is an incredible feeling,” Space 92 commented. “I am very excited, and also a bit nervous, I really hope people will like it!”
The Offbeat EP is described as being as ‘hypnotic as it is dancefloor-ready’, highlighting Space 92’s production style – ‘distorted percussion, trancey rhythms, and touches of acid, wrapped in an infectious groove’.
“I was immediately attracted to the raw vocals; they had a swag about them that I liked, I felt I could build something around that,” the producer added.
Space 92 is well known for previous releases such as Planet X, The Door, and Gravity, as well as collaborations with artists such as Popof, Reinier Zonneveld, Hi-Lo, and Hardwell.
Space 92 – Offbeat EP is released on 21 February on Beatport and Spotify, and other platforms on 7 March.
