Soulful house pioneer and London-based DJ Paris Cesvette returns with her highly anticipated second album, ‘As Above, So Below’, released on DJ Spen’s Quantize Recordings. Renegade Riddims: DJ Xylo

After over a decade in the underground rave scene and countless hours spent in bedroom studios, DJ Xylo made his official debut in the late 2020s. His first single was a major milestone, not just for him but also for his label, Xylo Records. DJ Xylo has carved out a signature sound in electronic music by combining tribal rhythms with immersive soundscapes, tapping into something both primal and deeply natural.

His latest release, ‘Walk Away’ (2024), is a collaboration that shows off his evolving style—a mix of emotional depth and energetic beats that really hits home with Drum & Bass fans. Beyond his music, DJ Xylo is passionate about using his platform for good. His ‘Rhythms of Empathy’ project, which supports War Child UK, is all about connecting music to humanitarian causes.

Xylo Records is all about nurturing up-and-coming talent in the Drum & Bass community. The label is known for its creative spirit and dedication to quality, with a diverse lineup of artists and a real focus on community.

DJ Xylo’s discography includes standout tracks like ‘We Can Rise,’ ‘Dreams (Close Your Eyes),’ and ‘Underground,’ each one showing off his range as an artist. Sum up this mix in 10 words…

A journey through deep bass, sub-genres, and untamed energy.

What’s your personal favourite track on it?

That’s a really tough question because every tune in this set does something unique for it.. I’m gonna choose Gino’s remix of Sammi Virji’s ‘Never Let You Go’ because it embodies the raw emotion and powerful energy I aimed for in this set.

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?

The blend of tribal rhythms with a modern drum and bass twist. It’s about connecting the primal with the future.

Tell us about your next EP…

My next EP will be my first, I’ve been working so hard on the Rhythms of Empathy project, for now, I’ll continue releasing singles to build my fanbase – I want my first EP to drop with a bang!

What have you got coming up?

We’ve got many more releases lined up on Xylo Records… Later this month we’ll release the final volume taken from the Rhythms of Empathy project for War Child Uk and there’s some amazing music on there. I’m working with some incredible new talent, and we’re also building up a catalogue of exciting projects for next year. Keep an eye out!

When was the last time you actually raved?

A few months back at Hybrid Minds’ gig in Alexandra Palace, it was wild to feel the energy in there!

Music isn’t just something we listen to – it’s a lifestyle we lead that brings us unity. It connects us to the past, grounds us in the present, and guides us toward the future. Ben Evers serves up the second EP on his own Eternal Sunshine label

Ben Evers will release his second EP on his own label Eternal Sunshine titled ‘Acid Orchestra’ on 18th October.

German house innovator Ben Evers is back with a bang, delivering the second release on his label Eternal Sunshine. Following a stellar first single and a strong EP on Live At Robert Johnson, Ben is charting a fresh solo path after years as one-half of the Adana Twins. Known for his impact on labels like Permanent Vacation and Correspondant, Ben’s latest project dives deep into fresh influences and unmistakable house and techno energy.

Leading the ‘Acid Orchestra’ EP is the title track, a commanding house cut that marries militant drums with snappy hi-hats and a thudding kick. A rippling 303 line weaves through the mix, while dark, rumbling bass and menacing spoken words add layers of peak-time intensity. This is a classic house reimagined for the modern dancefloor.

Reggae Land announces first headliners: Chronixx & Capleton

Reggae Land is returning to the iconic Milton Keynes National Bowl for another unforgettable weekend of Reggae, Dub, Dancehall, Jungle and more on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August 2025.

The phase one artist announcement has just dropped, and it’s already huge! Legendary Capleton will be performing on Saturday, while the chart-topping Chronixx will take the stage on Sunday.

On Saturday, 2nd August, Capleton, known as the “Prophet,” will bring his fiery energy to the main stage. Famed for blending the spiritual vibes of reggae with the electric pulse of dancehall, Capleton’s set will feature fan favourites like ‘Jah Jah City’, ‘Who Dem?’, and ‘That Day Will Come’. As one of the most revered names in reggae, his performance will be an explosive start to the weekend.

On Sunday, 3rd August, Chronixx will take over with his signature sound. The Jamaican artist has played a key role in the revival of conscious reggae, combining powerful lyrics with modern rhythms. Fans can expect him to perform hits like ‘Here Comes Trouble’, ‘Skankin’ Sweet’, and ‘Smile Jamaica’, making his set one of the most anticipated of the festival.

Held at The Milton Keynes National Bowl, Reggae Land 2025 promises an incredible weekend of live music across multiple stages, alongside a celebration of Caribbean food, culture, and immersive experiences for all ages.
