EDMTunes New Music Friday – Week 6

Written by on February 9, 2024

Listen to the most flavour-packed tracks we discovered this week.

Music makes the world go round. And in that regard, we’re constantly on the lookout for new, exciting tunes to share with our audience. We’ve found some that cause goosebumps, and make you open your eyes and get up from your chair to dance. So put on your best pair of headphones, or turn up your speakers, and enjoy this week’s New Music Friday.

Here are our top picks for the best music we came across this week, in no particular order.

LOST LIKE US – Lose My Mind

Genre: Deep House

LOST LIKE US is a new, creative Indie Dance project, crafted by an experienced duo of successful producers. Although each had their own career in their respective genre, they both happened to feel lost in life. That’s the sentiment that brought them together at first, and to LOST LIKE US later.

Their debut single as a duo is titled ‘Lose My Mind‘, and it presents a very interesting blend of sexy Deep House and strong, raspy vocals. At first glance, it may seem like they won’t go together all that well, but we invite you to give the track a listen. It blew us away. It’s like the first time you mix tomatoes and sugar. First you wonder why, next thing you know, you’ve developed a ketchup addiction.

Steve Angello feat. Pusha T – Freedom (Body Ocean Remix)

Genre: Tech House

You know this man. Steve Angello, one third of Swedish House Mafia, and a veteran in the Dance industry, sees his 2018 track ‘Freedom‘ revamped by electrifying duo Body Ocean. All of this, as part of the twentieth anniversary of the SIZE Records label.

These guys are the real deal in sound craftsmanship“, says Angello about Body Ocean. “They dive right into the essence of sound, twisting and turning it through some serious processing“. And it shows. Listen to their hot, groovy, deep Tech House take on ‘Freedom’ by hitting the ‘Play’ button below.

Aldor & Valery Lua – Stay

Genre: Tech House, Deep House

Producer and DJ Aldor just brought the heat to the dancefloor with a brand-new Tech House / Deep House / Melodic hybrid. ‘Stay‘ marks Aldor’s second release this year so far, following an impressive return to production last year for the first time since 2018.

‘Stay’ features the powerful vocals of Valery Lua, who absolutely aced the whole “elevating a track a few notches” thing. Enjoy the dynamic and forward-moving arrangement of a track that is sure to make you want to move your feet all night long.

Wolfgang Gartner – Automatic

Genre: Drum and Bass

Stop everything you’re doing, for one of EDM’s longest-standing producers has just released a new track. Living legend Wolfgang Gartner needs no introduction: he’s cemented himself as a changing force to be reckoned with in the industry, time after time.

Yet another new path describing change, Gartner comes to Dim Mak today to unveil a Drum and Bass tune full of weird textures, panned growls, and unfathomable amounts of ear candy. Enter ‘Automatic‘, the savoury tune you didn’t know you needed.
