Written by rhythm86 on February 16, 2024
Listen to the most flavour-packed tracks we discovered this week.
Music makes the world go round. And in that regard, we’re constantly on the lookout for new, exciting tunes to share with our audience. We’ve found some that cause goosebumps, and make you open your eyes and get up from your chair to dance. So put on your best pair of headphones, or turn up your speakers, and enjoy this week’s New Music Friday.
Here are our top picks for the best music we came across this week, in no particular order.
Luca Cassani & Terri B! – Do It Like This
Genre: Tech House
Kicking off this week with a proper banger, we’ve got Italian DJ and producer Luca Cassani behind the decks. An artist who’s consistently caught the eye of the leaders of the industry, he’s cracked the formula towards making tasty, irresistible beats. This one right here is not the exception.
He’s recently teamed up with Grammy-winner vocalist Terri B! to create an absolute monster. ‘Do It Like This‘ is one of those Tech House pieces that will leave you longing for more. Enjoy its catchy rhythms and surprise yourself singing to Terri’s lyrics before you even know it.
KSHMR, gritney – All Night
Genre: Big Room, Psytrance
If you’ve been around for a while, you know whenever the name KSHMR appears on screen, it’s bound to be something huge. The producer has been smashing hit after hit since his artist name became a thing. But he had been cooking gems for years before even becoming a spotlight producer, being behind tracks like ‘Tsunami’, and even ‘Like A G6’.
‘All Night‘ sees KSHMR unite with the voice of acclaimed vocalist gritney. You may not know her by that name, but what if I told you it’s an alternative alias of Sarah de Warren? Yeah. Hit the ‘Play’ button and get carried away by the open synths and hard-hitting Psytrance-inspired galloping bassline.
Nexxus 604 – Psychedelic Dimension
Genre: Psytrance
It’s been a while since we last shared a proper Psytrance track! And who better to help us break that streak than Nexxus 604. An up-and-coming producer of the finest levels, this man seems to prove time after time that he’s here for a proper career, showcasing intense, finely-polished productions.
Enter ‘Psychedelic Dimension‘, a Full-On Psytrance piece of the finest we’ve come across since we started doing this series. An entire jungle of textures, phasers, flangers, gritty moments, and a truly psychedelic experience, all come together over a powerful kick-bass combo. Don’t miss out on it.
Wenzday & Kaysin feat. Haylee Wood – Your Fantasy
Genre: Tech House
For yet another Tech House composition for this week’s NMF, have a look at the craft of Bay Area-based Wenzday and Southern California producer Kaysin. Or rather, have a listen to what they’ve just hit stores with, in the search for infectious beats.
They’ve joined forces with Haylee Wood to deliver ‘Your Fantasy‘, a track that escapes the standard Tech House sound we’ve all heard — and even though love, are growing a bit tired of by now. These guys prepared something genuinely special, with a plethora of new percussion to choose from, all laid in the expected groovy way they’re so known for.
Gaba & Lucas Zárate feat. hodÃla Ãzba – Vayu
Genre: Organic House
Songuara, ladies and gentlemen! As soon as we hear from them we know it’s going to be a journey. This one did not disappoint. And how would it, being the proper collaboration it is! Behold, ‘Vayu‘, the latest instalment in the Organic House label’s discography, and the hottest new work between masterminds Gaba and Lucas Zárate, featuring the voice of Russian Folk group hodÃla Ãzba.
In the middle of the winter, this song comes to tell the tale of a girl who wanted to get flowers during this very season. The solution? Magical creatures gathered in the middle of a forest, dancing and chanting around a fire, which ultimately led to the weather changing and flowers blossoming. It’s a beautiful story, and an even more beautiful track.
